Hounds To Honour Champions

The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club will officially welcome four members of their team back to Sault Ste. Marie on Wednesday. Prior to their fifth game of the season versus the Sudbury Wolves, the Greyhounds will hold a special ceremony to honour gold medalists Craig Hartsburg, Josh Godfey, Wayne Simmonds and Bryce O’Hagan.

For Hartsburg, Godfey and Simmonds this night will mark their return from the World Junior Hockey Championship and a gold medal performance with Team Canada, while for O’Hagan, he returns from Team Ontario’s victory at the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge.

Representatives from the Soo Greyhounds and the City of Sault Ste. Marie will participate in the special opening ceremonies scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to be in their seats early and are asked to wear red and white and help the Hounds in welcoming Craig, Josh, Wayne and Bryce back to Sault Ste. Marie.
