In the midst of a battle for the final playoff spot in the OHL's Western Conference, the Soo Greyhounds need all the points they can get between now and the end of the regular season.

As for their current road trip, the Greyhounds are now hoping to salvage at least one game after they dropped a 6-3 decision in Owen Sound on Saturday night to fall to 0-2 on the weekend. Scott Giles had a pair of goals to lead the Attack offensively while Marek Bartanus had a goal and two assists in the win. Andrew Desjardins broke out offensively for the Greyhounds as the 19-year-old scored all three Hounds goals in the loss, which drops their record to 21-27-3-3. Hounds goaltender Kyle Gajewski was pulled for the second straight start after surrendering three goals on eight shots. Matt Spezza came in and stopped 23 shots the rest of the way.

Despite the loss, the Greyhounds remain locked into the eight seed in the Western Conference although the Erie Otters pulled to within four points of the Greyhounds after defeating the Sarnia Sting 6-4 in other OHL action on Saturday.

Andrej Sekera, Marcus Carroll, and Mike Angelidis capped off the scoring for the Attack who got a 30-save performance from goaltender Michael Ouzas.

The Greyhounds cap off their three-game road trip on Sunday afternoon when they visit the Powerade Centre in Brampton to take on the Battalion. Game time is 2 p.m.
