Hounds rebound to defeat Spirit

One night after dropping a 3-1 decision to Saginaw, the Soo Greyhounds rebounded with a 6-4 win over the Spirit on Sunday night at the John Rhodes Community Centre.

With the Ontario Hockey League exhibition win, the Greyhounds sit at 2-1 with two more tilts with the Sudbury Wolves scheduled before the regular season opener.

On Friday, the Hounds travel to the Nickel City before returning to host the Wolves at the Taffy Abel Arena in the Michigan Sault next Sunday at 7 p.m.

Josh Moes, Andrew Campbell, Jacob Lalonde, Brandon MacLean, Anthony Perdicaro with the game winner, and Tyler Cuthbert into the empty net scored for the Greyhounds.

Chris Chappel, Jack Combs, Tim Priamos and Patrick Asselin replied for Saginaw. Sault product Zack Torquato picked up an assist for the Spirit.
