The Soo Greyhounds just keep on winning.

On Sunday night at the Steelback Centre, the Greyhounds captured their 12th win in 13 outings with a 6-2 win over the Kingston Frotenacs in front of 4,619 fans.

Dustin Jeffrey dazzled the local fans with a hat trick performance while rookie 15 year-old goaltender Bryce O'Hagan picked up his first Ontario Hockey League win stopping 17 shots.

Chris MacKinnon and Jeffrey scored to give the locals a 2-1 lead after one period. Brandon MacLean scored the lone goal of the second period on the power play before the Hounds salted away the game in the third.

Jeffrey scored 42 seconds into the frame before adding another while killing a five-on-three Kingston power play. Jake Lalonde capped the scoring with a late goal for the Hounds.

Jeffrey also added an assist for a four-point outing, which moves the co-captain within two points of Oshawa's John Tavares for the league scoring lead although Jeffrey (24 points) has a better point-per-game average (2.4) than Tavares (26 points).

MacKinnon also picked up an assist while Brandon Biggers set up a pair.

Kyle Bochek and Taylor Doherty replied with goals for the Frontenacs.

With the win, the Hounds sit with 25 points, three ahead of the Windsor Spitfires, who have only lost once in regulation time, for the west division and OHL lead.

But the Greyhounds will get their toughest test of the season this week as they hit the road for three tough games.

The Hounds visit the Barrie Colts, who are challenging in the central division, on Thursday before the east division leading Belleville Bulls on Saturday and the Tavares-led Oshawa Generals on Sunday.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Video footage will not be available for this game. We anticipate a return of the Greyhound highlight reel during the next homestand.)
