The Soo Greyhounds have added a second overage forward to their roster after completing a trade with the Erie Otters on Tuesday. This latest deal will see one player and two draft picks heading to Erie while the Hounds will receive a player and one draft pick in return.

Here’s how the deal works out:

To Sault Ste. Marie

RW Andrew Shennan, 1985 4th Round Pick in the 2006 OHL Priority Selection

To Erie

LD Tyler McKinley, 1987 3rd Round Pick in the 2006 OHL Priority Selection 7th Round Pick in the 2007 OHL Priority Selection

Andrew Shennan, a native of St. Clair Beach, ONTARIO, is set to enter his 5th season in the Ontario Hockey League. He stands at 6’0” while weighing in at 205 pounds.

In 242 career games played, Shennan has recorded 23 goals and 31 assists good for 54 points while grabbing 420 PIM’s. Most recently the rugged right winger grabbed 10 goals and 4 assists for 14 points and 126 PIM’s last year as part of the Barrie Colts and Erie Otters. Tyler McKinley was the Hounds 9th Round selection in the 2003 OHL Priority Selection. He appeared in 35 games during the 2004/2005 season and recorded 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points along with 19 PIM’s.

The departure of McKinley reduces the number of defenceman on the Hounds active roster to eight.
