On Friday night in Guelph, the Greyhounds surrendered three goals, including two on the power play, in the first 11:23 of the game and couldn't recover falling 4-2 to the Guelph Storm to open a two-game Ontario Hockey League road trip.

The three goals also spoiled Matt Hache's first start in the OHL as the young netminder was pulled following the third goal.

Guelph captain Ryan Callahan made fans notice his first appearance of the season with the natural hat trick for a 3-0 Guelph lead. Callahan's first came with the Hounds two men short just 1:34 in and his second with the Hounds one man down minutes later.

Andrew Shennan scored his first goal as a Greyhound since being acquired from Erie while Cody Thornton scored his second of the year to pull the Hounds back to within a goal late in the second period.

Matthew Lyall completed the scoring for Guelph with an empty net power play goal in the dying seconds. Sault product Matt D'Agostini recorded a pair of assists for the Storm as did Drew Doughty.

Kyle Gajewski replaced Hache in goal and stopped all 17 shots he faced.

The Greyhounds are back in action on Saturday night against the Erie Otters at 7:30 p.m. before returning home to begin a two-game stand on Friday against the Owen Sound Attack at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Gardens.
