The St. Mary's Knights won the Sault's high school men's hockey championship last night in front of a capacity crowd at the John Rhodes.

The Knights skated to a 3-1 victory to win the best-of-five series 3 games to 1 over the Korah Colts.

Goal scorers for the Knights were Danny Guzzo, Carter Doucette and Nikolas Vecchio, whose empty-netter late in the game sealed the victory for the Knights.

Luca Venneri scored the lone goal for the Colts.

The Knights will now head to NOSSA in Sudbury on March 4 and 5, representing Sault Ste. Marie with a chance to advance to the OFSAA championships in Whitby.
