Hinich competes at snowboardcross nationals

Hinich's Performance Outstanding at SBX Nationals

March 26, 2007 (Sunshine Valley, Alberta) – During the 2007 Honda Canadian National Snowboardcross races at Sunshine Valley near Canmore, Alberta on March 23rd, Myrica Hinich came in 18th out of 36 in the women's senior single qualification race, missing the finals by two places.

Expressing her disappointment with the placement, 18-year-old Hinich stated:

"I could have done better, I fell during qualification, but at least I improved my time over the previous race”.

However, of the participating Ontario team, Hinich came in first of the women on the team.

She is the sole member on the Ontario team originating from Northern Ontario.

During the Ontario Provincial Snowboardcross Championships in Collingwood on March 3rd, Hinich came in:

~ 1st out of 9 in the women's senior single qualification race.

~ 2nd out of 8 in the women's senior boarder cross race.

Next for the team are the NorAm finals at Mt Cypress near Vancouver March 31 / April 1st.
