High school hockey roundup

A week of action in high school hockey wrapped up on Sunday night at the Essar Centre as Korah beat CASS 6-2. Linemates Aaron Savage, Jay Johnson and Erik Simon were in on all six Korah goals, combining for 10 points in the win.

A week of action in high school hockey wrapped up on Sunday night at the Essar Centre as Korah beat CASS 6-2.

Linemates Aaron Savage, Jay Johnson and Erik Simon were in on all six Korah goals, combining for 10 points in the win. Savage finished the night with four goals while Johnson and Simon had a goal and two assists each for Korah.

Brett Cooke had a goal and an assist for CASS while Steven Fluke added two assists. Connor McDougall also scored for CASS in the loss.

Earlier in the week, St. Basil and St. Mary’s picked up wins on Wednesday night. St. Basil beat White Pines 5-1 while St. Mary’s blanked Superior Heights 3-0.

Dan Biocchi had a goal and two assists for St. Basil while Alex Guido added a goal and an assist for the Saints. Darryl Ward, Jon Colombi and Pat LePore also scored in the win. Nick Duplessis had the lone goal for White Pines.

Nick Berlingieri picked up the shutout while James Foster and Liam Rising had a goal and an assist each for the Knights. Justin Elwgren also scored for St. Mary’s.

To open the week on Monday, St. Mary’s beat White Pines 5-2 while CASS blanked Superior Heights 3-0/

Rising had a pair of goals and an assist in the win for St. Mary’s while Foster had a goal and two assists. Elwgren and Cody Poirier also scored in the win. Braidin Boissoneau and Matt Smylie scored for White Pines.

Ryan Campbell picked up the shutout for CASS while Brysin Shaw, AJ Daniel and Bryce Campbell scored in the win. Fluke set up two goals for the Huskies.
