High school hockey report

The Korah Colts picked up another victory against the St. Mary's Knights as High School Hockey League action continued on Monday afternoon at the McMeeken Centre. Jimmy Killoran scored twice to lead the Colts to a 4-1 victory.

The Korah Colts picked up another victory against the St. Mary's Knights as High School Hockey League action continued on Monday afternoon at the McMeeken Centre.

Jimmy Killoran scored twice to lead the Colts to a 4-1 victory. Daniel Ferris and Luke Critchley also scored for the winners while Will Stevenson replied with the lone goal for St. Mary's.

Action continues on Wednesday at the John Rhodes Community Centre. Korah battles the Sir James Dunn Eagles at 7 p.m. followed by the Bawating Braves and White Pines Wolverines at 8:30 p.m.

*** SUNDAY:

The St. Basil Saints and White Pines scored wins while Korah and the Central Algoma Secondary School Huskies battled to a draw on Sunday night at Memorial Gardens.

St. Basil opened the night by scoring a 4-2 victory over St. Mary's. Scott McCabe, Tommy Reville, Luke Ruicci and Andrew Allen scored for the Saints while Jordan Casola and Jason Dias countered for the Knights.

John Nolan scored twice and Keven Sawyer recorded the shutout to lead White Pines past Bawating 7-0. James Ishmael, Corey Wensley, Chris Figures, Matt Santos and Josh Reed also scored for the Wolverines.

The Colts and Huskies tied 3-3 in the finale. Cole Julien, Mike Brown and Cal Spurway found the back of the net for CASS while Daniel Ferris, Shawn Bibeau and Jimmy Killoran replied for Korah.
