There will be a one-game showdown to decide the fourth-and-final playoff spot in the senior division of the high school football league. The Korah Colts and the White Pines Wolverines, who both finished the regular season with 2-3 records, will meet on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Rocky DiPietro Field. The winner gets the fourth playoff spot and will meet the first-place St. Mary's Knights in one semi-final next Saturday at 1 p.m. at DiPietro Field. The Sir James Dunn Eagles and the Bawating Braves will meet in the other semi, next Friday night at 7:30 p.m. Last night, the Eagles avoided a three-way tie for fourth with a 24-14 win over Bawating. Both teams finished the regular season at 3-2. Also last night, St. Mary's capped a perfect regular season with a 35-0 win over the St. Basil Saints, who finished 0-5. Quarterback Anthony Amadio three touchdown passes, Adam Zuccato ran for a pair and Josh Davidson kicked five converts as the Knights routed their Catholic high counterparts from St. Basil. Semi-final winners will meet in the city finals on Fri. Oct. 25. The winner of that game will represent the Sault at the NOSSA playdowns, here on Sat. Nov. 2.
