************************* Local cyclists make it to the final round in a worldwide contest; your vote could help them win! Sharon and Colin Templeton are avid cyclists.

This summer during the St. Joseph Island Triathlon, Sharon shredded the chain and gears on the couple’s racing bike, halfway through the course. She finished the race in last place because she had to push the bicycle back to the finish line.

They decided a new bicycle was needed, but, with a replacement costing several thousand dollars, they chose to take a creative approach to the problem.

They entered a contest in an attempt to win a new racing bike valued at over $8,000. The contest involved designing the graphics to be used on a wheel manufactured by the bicycle company Campagnolo. Their design (shown) was selected as one of 10 finalists from hundreds of entries submitted from around the world. In fact, theirs is the only Canadian entry remaining in the contest. The final winner of the contest will be selected by an online voting process, and you can help make it happen by voting for them.

To vote for their design, please take a moment, click here and then follow the link to the BORA art contest where you can vote for the entry called BORA Sharon, by Sharon Temleman.

It only takes a few seconds to vote.

Please help our local athletes succeed.
