OHL Announces Rosters and Coaching Staff for 2007 ADT Canada-Russia Challenge Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League today announced the Team OHL Rosters and coaching staff that will compete in the 2007 ADT Canada-Russia Challenge.

The fifth annual ADT Canada-Russia Challenge will be held from November 19th to 29th throughout Canada as Canadian Hockey League All-Star Teams, from each of its three member leagues (OHL, WHL and QMJHL) compete against a Russian National Junior Team in a six game series.

Team OHL was selected by a management team consisting of Alan Miller, General Manager of the Sarnia Sting, Jeff Twohey, General Manager of the Peterborough Petes and Al Murray, Hockey Canada’s Head Scout for the Canadian National Junior Team. Players will be evaluated during this series in preparation of the final selection process for the 2008 World Junior Hockey Championships.

The two OHL games will be hosted by the Kitchener Rangers on Thursday, November 22nd and the Sudbury Wolves on Monday, November 26th. The Team OHL rosters will consist of 22 players - two goalies, seven defencemen, and 13 forwards. Trevor Cann (Peterborough Petes) and Steve Mason (London Knights) will share the goaltending duties for both Ontario based games. Drew Doughty (Guelph Storm) who was a member of Team Canada during the Super Series will help lead the defence core for Team OHL. Doughty is considered to be one of the top prospects for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. John Tavares, 2007 CHL Player of the Year and member of Team Canada at the Super Series, will guide a star-studded cast of forwards including fellow Team Canada teammates Stefan Legein, Cory Emmerton and Josh Godfrey.

The OHL also announced today that Craig Hartsburg, Head Coach of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds will serve as Head Coach for Team OHL. Peter DeBoer, General Manager and Head Coach of the Kitchener Rangers and Mike Foligno, General Manager and Head Coach of the Sudbury Wolves, will serve as Assistant Coaches for Team OHL, in their respective home centres.
