Greyhounds shutout Majors

The Soo Greyhounds rode the goaltending of rookie Bryce O'Hagan all the way to a shutout win on Saturday afternoon in Mississauga.

Stopping 27 shots, O'Hagan recorded his first Ontario Hockey League shutout and led the Hounds to a 3-0 victory over the St. Michael's Majors.

Jake Lalonde, Matt Lyall and Jake Muzzin scored for the Hounds, who cap their three-game road trip on Sunday afternoon in Guelph at 2 p.m.

After a scoreless first period, Lalonde, who also added an assist in the game, and Lyall scored to put the Hounds ahead 2-0 in the second.

Muzzin rounded out the scoring in the third period.

The Hounds pull to within a point of the idle Windsor Spitfires for first place in the west division and can move ahead over the holiday break with a win on Sunday.
