As busy as the Soo Greyhounds are on the ice, the local Ontario Hockey League team is just as busy off the ice with important announcements and upcoming events.

Please find below a number of items for your information.

ROTARY CLUB BATTLE OF THE SECTIONS TOMORROW!

The Soo Greyhounds have teamed up with the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie for another BATTLE OF THE SECTIONS.

This year's event is set for tomorrow night, Friday, February 17th when the Hounds host the Brampton Battalion.

Fans are encouraged to bring loose change and participate when the collection containers go through your section during the game.

What section will win this year?

SEASON TICKET HOLDER SKATE

The Soo Greyhounds Season Ticket Holder Skate is set for this coming Sunday, February 19th from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Memorial Gardens.

All those Season Ticket Holders interested in participating are asked to sign up at the Mio's Marketing Table during either of the games this Friday or Saturday.

2006 / 2007 SEASON TICKET SALES COMMENCE

This coming Monday, February 20th the Soo Greyhounds will be launching their season ticket drive for the 2006/2007 OHL season.

** Sales will be open to the general public **

Here's your chance to reserve your seat in the brand-new Sports and Entertainment Centre and not miss a single minute of the Hounds 34 home-game schedule.

Season ticket holders enjoy a number of benefits including a savings of up to 26% off the walk-up prices, exclusive STH events, giveaways, 10% off merchandise at the Hound Pound and more.

Early-bird discounted packages are available until May 5th while regular prices are in effect starting May 6th.

Brochures with the complete details including pricing will be available starting this coming Friday and can be picked up at any of the Greyhound or Memorial Gardens office.

FINAL COUNTDOWN AT MEMORIAL GARDENS

The Soo Greyhounds are pleased to announce some details concerning planned festivities for the final 3 regular season home games.

3rd LAST GAME - Sunday, March 5th (7 p.m. VS Plymouth Whalers) LEGION NIGHT - to recognize the Veterans that have served our country

2nd LAST GAME – Friday, March 17th (7:30 p.m. VS Saginaw Spirit ALUMNI NIGHT - All local alumni from 1972 to present are invited to the game as guests of the Soo Greyhounds (please contact Deanna Nicholls at 253-5976 x30 or [email protected] to confirm and for more info) - On ice pre-game presentations honouring local alumni and original members of the team (from 1972 to present)

LAST GAME – Sunday, March 19th, 2006 (7 p.m. VS Sarnia Sting) MEMORIAL CUP NIGHT - Welcome back members of the Memorial Cup Team - Lyndon Slewedge to sing the National Anthem - Terra Findlay, participant in the Canadian Dance Championships to perform in the final figure skating extravaganza during an intermission - Post game banner ceremonies for the Memorial Cup Banner and the banners of the retired jerseys
