With the team in a race for the Ontario Hockey League west division crown and the coveted second seed in the western conference playoffs, the Greyhounds pulled out another timely victory with a 2-1 decision over the Sting.

With the Plymouth Whalers battling the Sudbury Wolves to a 1-1 tie on Friday, the Greyhounds increased their division lead to six points over the Whalers, who hold a game in hand, and nine points over the Windsor Spitfires, who have played one more game.

The Greyhounds have built their lead with a run of eight wins, a loss and a tie in their last 10 games.

In Sarnia, the Sting built a 1-0 lead on a goal by Chad Painchaud before Jeff Carter took over and rallied the Greyhounds to the win.
