The Soo Greyhounds took two of three games over the weekend to return home from their first road trip of the season with four of a possible six points.

On Sunday afternoon in London, the defending Ontario Hockey League and Memorial Cup champion Knights scored the game's first two goals and controlled the momentum the rest of the way in a 6-2 win over the Hounds.

The loss drops the Greyhounds record to 3-2 on the season after opening the road trip with wins in Windsor and Plymouth.

Kris Belan and Jordan Foreman gave the Knights a 2-0 lead 11:30 into the game.

In the second period, Jason Pitton put the Hounds on the board with his third of the season but the Knights stopped any momentum the Hounds would gain as Dylan Hunter scored his first of the game just 59 seconds later on the power play.

Later in the frame, Brett Halstead's first goal pulled the Hounds to within a goal again but Foreman's second of the day with just one second remaining in the period restored the two goal lead.

David Bolland and Hunter completed the scoring for London in the third period.

Adam Dennis stopped 28 of 30 shots in goal for the win while Kyle Gajewski, making his fifth consecutive start, stopped 22 of 28 shots for the Hounds.

The Greyhounds are home for a single contest on Wednesday night at Memorial Gardens against the Sarnia Sting at 7 p.m. before heading on the road for two more games.
