The Soo Greyhounds look to be back on track.

After suffering a 1-0 loss to the Niagara IceDogs at the Steelback Centre last Friday, the Soo Greyhounds returned the favour on Thursday night.

Beginning a three-game road trip, the Hounds scored three times in the third period to double up the IceDogs 4-2 at the Gatorade Garden City Complex in St. Catharines.

Chris DeSousa gave Niagara a 1-0 first period lead before the Hounds answered early in the second on a goal from Brandon MacLean.

In third period, Josh Godfrey scored back-to-back goals first on the power play at 1:25 and then shorthanded at 6:00 to put the Hounds ahead 3-1.

Jordan Foreman cut the lead to 3-2 with an IceDogs goal with 5:32 remaining in regulation time but MacLean's second of the game into an empty net while shorthanded sealed the Greyhounds win.

Dustin Jeffrey set up all four Greyhound goals while Godfrey also picked up an assist.

Kyle Gajewski stopped 23 of 25 shots in goal for the win while counterpart Sebastian Dahm, who was named the Canadian Hockey League and Ontario Hockey League goaltender of the week, saw 19 of 20 Greyhound shots.

The Hounds continue their road trip on Saturday night in Erie before visiting Brampton on Sunday afternoon.
