Mark Gignac Continues Hot Streak Taking Low Medalist Honors at Crimson Ridge Club Championship Qualifying

Sault Ste. Marie, ONT (July 18, 2005)-- Mark Gignac secured his spot as the 2nd seed in the 2005 Crimson Ridge Men's Club Championship by firing a second round 75 yesterday. Gignac's two day total of 156 was good for a four shot victory over his fellow members and competitors.

Gignac continued his stellar play of late, coming off his second place finish at the Root River Open last week.

2004 Club Champion Greg McLellan is back to defend his title this year as the 1st seed for match play. McLellan, who opened with a first round 82, had to withdraw from the second round of qualifying as his recurring season long shoulder injury caused some pain.

2004 Men's Senior Champion Don Missere will be back to defend his title and will play as the 4th seed in the Club Championship after a two day total of 161.

2004 Women's & Senior Club Champion Linda Morgan will also be back to defend her title playing as the 1st seed. Kelly McLellan took home medalist firing a two day total of 192 for a three shot victory.

Crimson Ridge is one of the few courses to use the exciting match play format for their club championship. Matches will be contested over the rest of the season with a champion crowned by September 5th.
