Friday's Mayor's Cup results (Updated)

The Mayor's Cup continued on a Good Friday with five games on the schedule.

OPEN DIVISION

Foogy Notions 12 McDougall Fuels 6

Kevin MacKay scored twice and assisted on two others for the winners while Steve Caruso potted a goal and four assists and Paul Godfrey scored once and set up three others. A goal and two assist effort went to Frank Porco, Chris Felix, Carl Halverson and Dan Lambert. Mark Matier and Jesse Vallee each scored once and set up another while singles went to Scott Booth and John Ferguson. Denny Lambert recorded four assists.

Curtis Cress responded with three goals for McDougall Fuels with single goals scored by Greg MacLean, Luke Hopkins and Trevor Thorburn. Anthony Mannarino had three assists while Trevor Zachary and Kyle MacLean set up two each.

Soo Kings 9 (OT Shootout) Clarica/Blueliners 8

Jeff Green scored the lone goal in the shootout to go with his goal and two assists earlier to lead the King to victory. Ken Belanger, with two assists, Gary Armstrong, with a helper, and Nick Chanis scored two goals each while Brent Maquire scored once and set up another. Rob Palahnuk picked up two assists.

Dan Galarneau replied with two goals and two assists, Brad Baber and John Bossio scored twice each and set up another while Gary Roach had a goal and three assists and Al DiPasquo a goal and an assist.

33+ DIVISION

Mr. Transmission 4 (OT shootout) Tulloch Engineering 3

Roger Rosset scored the shootout winner to give Mr. Transmission the win. Mark Patellia, Doug Laprode and Erick Hicks scored for the winners in regulation time while Rosset picked up a pair of assists. Rock Boucher replied with a goal and an assist for Tulloch Engineering with singles scored by Travis Halerow and Nelson Duschene. Frank Giaccione and Don Bentley recorded two assists each.

Stitch King/Weedman 10 Microage/Smack Daddy's 2

Bill Carriere scored three times and set up three others for the winners. Jody Wilson scored three more times and set up another while Lou Melchiorre and Petri Heimonen had a goal and two assists each. Randy Latvinen and Ken Dickenson scored once each, Mike Jonson recorded five assists and Tom Murray four.

Pat Lillie and Greg Oja replied win goals for Microage/Smack Daddy's.

American Mohawks 6 Smack Daddy's 3

The Mohawks got a three goal and one assist effort from Al Bouschor in the win. Corey Metro scored a goal and two assists while Mike Kaunisto and Mic Poliski had a goal and an assist each.

Matt Sizer scored two goals and an assist for Smack Daddy's while Barry Bissonette had a goal and two helpers.
