Central Algoma Secondary School hosted a seven-team Midget Boys Basketball tournament this past weekend with teams from CASS, W.C. Eaket, Elliot Lake, St. Mary’s, Bawating, Korah and Sir James Dunn.

Sir James Dunn defeated St. Mary’s 54-42 in the championship game. The Dunn lead 33-27 at the end of the third quarter but D.J. Carter hit three 3-point shots in the fourth quarter to spark the Eagles and put the game away. Carter had 28 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead all scorers and Eric Bogensberger had 8 for the Dunn.

Nathan Briglio had 12 points for St. Mary’s while Dylan Cook and Matt Fabbro chipped in with 8 each.
