The stellar National Hockey League goaltender was dealt today by the Vancouver Canucks to the Kings in exchange for a second round draft pick in 2007 and a conditional choice in 2009.

With the deal by the Canucks last week to peel star goaltender Roberto Luongo out of Florida, Cloutier's future in Vancouver was immediately in doubt.

Cloutier's 2005-06 season came to an end in November after suffering a serious knee injury in Anaheim.

Born in Mont-Laurier, Quebec before growing up through the Sault minor hockey system, Cloutier is the only Canuck goaltender to post three consecutive 30-win seasons.
