Colts win consolation hoops title in Sarnia

This past weekend, the Korah Colts senior boys basketball team posted a 2-1 record at the annual Sarnia Northern Invitational Basketball Tournament. The Colts open the tournament with a 70-55 loss to the host team Sarnia Northern Collegiate.

This past weekend, the Korah Colts senior boys basketball team posted a 2-1 record at the annual Sarnia Northern Invitational Basketball Tournament.

The Colts open the tournament with a 70-55 loss to the host team Sarnia Northern Collegiate. In the setback, Matt Glibota led the way with 15 while Scott Carson chipped in with 9.

The Colts bounced back in their second game with a thrilling overtime win versus London Westminister 59-55. High scorers for the Colts were Nico Louriero with 21 and Chris Casagrande with 13.

In the consolation championships, the Colts were up against London South Secondary. In yet another thrilling shootout, the Colts came up victorious 56-52. Kyle Cormier was top scorer for the Colts as he had 11 while Matt Glibota and Scott Carson both added 8.

Korah’s Nico Louriero was name to the tournament’s all-star team.

Next action for the Colts is this Tuesday as they travel to St. Mary’s to play the Knights.
