Colts and Knights earn basketball wins

The Korah Colts and St. Mary's Knights picked up wins on Wednesday night in high school girls basketball action

A pair of games were on the docket on Wednesday night in senior girls high school basketball.

At Korah, Tori Ivey had 14 points as the Korah Colts continued to roll with a 60-30 victory over Superior Heights.

Averi Bodnar added 13 points for the Colts while Annie Damignani led Superior Heights with 13 points. Carlyle Richards added six points for the Steelhawks.

Meanwhile at White Pines Serena Pulente and Rachel Rising had eight points each to pace St. Mary’s to a 30-11 victory over White Pines. Darby Sewell had seven points for White Pines.

In junior action Skylar Toms had 12 points as Korah beat Superior Heights 30-22. Hannah Jodoin added seven points for the Colts. Sophie Grawbarger and Hailey Helix had seven points each for Superior Heights.

Wednesday’s other junior game saw Alyssa Rizzo scored 12 points for St. Mary’s in a 35-12 Knights win over White Pines. Jayme Meser had six points for St. Mary’s Alex Dewer had three points for White Pines.

Next action is on Oct. 26 when St. Mary’s hosts White Pines in junior (5:15 p.m.) and senior action (7 p.m.) while White Pines will host Korah in senior action at 5:15 p.m.
