CASS opens season with sweep of Eaket

The Central Algoma Secondary School Huskies boys basketball teams travelled to Blind River to open their season. The senior boys doubled up on W.C. Eaket 51-25. CASS lead 32-13 at the half.

The Central Algoma Secondary School Huskies boys basketball teams travelled to Blind River to open their season.

The senior boys doubled up on W.C. Eaket 51-25. CASS lead 32-13 at the half. Corey Myers with 14 points and Rob Hurley with 12 led the Huskies while Shane Buckley had 9 for the 0-1 Royals.

The junior boys defeated W.C. Eaket 82-54. CASS led 38-24 at the half. Ethan Campbell had 28 points and 26 rebounds to lead all scorers while Seth Whitley chipped in with 18 points. David Fortino had 21 points for the 0-1 Royals.

CASS will be travelling to Manitoulin Island on Thursday for three games against the Mustangs.

CASS will be hosting the 30th annual Husky Invitational Dec. 8 & 9 with junior and senior teams from W.C. Eaket, Sir James Dunn and Bawating. Call 782-0539 for game times.
