The Central Algoma Secondary School Huskies girls basketball teams kicked off their season today with convincing wins over the Espanola Spartans.

In the senior game, Amanda Hollingsworth lead all scorers with 26 points while Tiana Bucknell chipped in with 11 en route to a 51 -12 win.

CASS lead 15 -0 after the first quarter and 25 -6 at the half.

The junior Huskies defeated Espanola 29 -16. CASS lead 18 -10 at the half. Marabeth Mills had 13 points for the Huskies while Rebecca Bond had six for the Spartans.

The Huskies travel to Blind River on October 10.
