Beavers to debut on SportsJuice.com

A test run has been held and Friday will mark the official opening of the Blind River Beavers and the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League on SportsJuice.com. The Beavers will visit the Northern Michigan Black Bears on Friday in the first of 10 Blind River games to be broadcast live on SportsJuice.com with Ken Hilderley doing the play-by-play and Randy Russon providing colour commentary. The duo did an unscheduled broadcast of the Beavers-Soo Thunderbirds game played in Blind River last Saturday and Russon reports "very good feedback. The broadcast was crystal clear and we have reports of fans listening in from as far away as Germany. "We think that this is going to be a great experience for the Beavers and the NOJHL." Blind River is third in the NOJHL West Division and is chasing Northern Michigan for second place, ergo this Friday's game has the makings of a hard-fought contest. With a faceoff time of 7:30 p.m., Hilderley and Russon will be on air live on Friday with a 7:15 p.m. pre-game show. Russon also noted that beginning in January, plans are to have a weekly "Around The NOJHL" show on SportsJuice.com featuring coaches and players from Blind River, the Soo Thunderbirds and Northern Michigan.
