Bantam Black Sox strike for 3rd straight win

On Tuesday night at James Field in Soo, Michigan, the Bantam Elks 341 Black Sox had some timely hitting in the top of the 7th inning to escape with a 9-6 win over Soo, Michigan.

After striking to an early 4-2 lead, the Black Sox ran into a bit of trouble and saw the game tied at 6-6 heading to the 7th inning.

Rich Lang, D.J. Carter, Kris Kerr & Scott Thornton struck for singles in the top of the inning and helped plate 3 runs to take the lead for good. Winning pitcher D.J. Carter settled in and had a perfect 7th inning to wrap up the victory.

This weekend, The Black Sox are off to Cheboygan for 2 games on Saturday, and then travel to Alpena for another doubleheader on Sunday. ************************************************************
