SAULT STE. MARIE, MI – Just 48 hours after coming home from Mancelona, Michigan with a tournament victory, the Elks 341 Black Sox struggled against EUP

The Black Sox opened up a six-run lead after the first inning only to see their opponents battle back and complete a 13-8 victory over the visitors.

The Black Sox sent 10 men to the plate in the opening inning and looked to have the game well in control. After cruising through the bottom of the inning and going scoreless in the top of the second, the Black Sox struggled in the bottom of the inning, giving up five runs, allowing EUP to get back into the game.

EUP went on to score four more runs in the third inning to all but seal the win.

Corey Jackson and Travis Burmaster hit a pair of singles each for the Black Sox while Richard Lang also chipped in with a single and a double and also knocked in two runs for the Black Sox.
