Bantam BB Wildcats capture gold at Future Stars tourney

The AOE / Service Master Bantam BB Wildcats have returned from Scarborough where they played in the Toronto Aeros “Future Stars” Annual Tournament played October 14-16, 2005.

There were 126 teams in this tournament. This was their first tournament of the year and they finished the round robin play with a record of 3 wins and 0 losses.

In their first game they defeated Windsor 5-2 with Katie Komsa scoring two goals and single goals being scored by Brianne Veale, Jasmine Roy and Samantha Filek.

They won their second game against Brantford 5-1 with two goals being scored by Morgan Tersigni and Brianne Veale and a single goal added by Mallory Lesage.

The Wildcats won their third game against Etobicoke 5-3. Singles went to Jessica D’Angelo, Katie Pietrzakowski, Brianne Veale, Morgan Tersigni and Katie Komsa.

The Wildcats played in the Bantam BB Finals against Windsor and won 3-2 to win the gold medal. Singles went to Katie Komsa and Samantha Filek and Mallory Lesage scored the winner with one second left in the overtime period.

Next action for the AOE / Service Master Bantam BB Wildcats is the Soo Wildcats Icebreaker Cup Tournament being held November 4-6, 2005 in Sault Ste Marie at the John Rhodes Arena.
