Atom Reps take eight weekend points

The SIS/Hydraulic Solutions “AA” Atom Spartans hockey team travelled to Marquette on Saturday for 2 games and then to Escanaba for another 2 games in Northern International Hockey League play.

In Marquette, the Spartans took both games of a double-header by scores of 3-2.

In game one, Kirk Garson had a pair of goals and Matt Caruso added a single. Mario Culina had the win between the pipes.

Game two saw Jacob Palmerio score two goals with Carter Lobert scoring the single. Garson and Dallas Jollineau each had assists. Michael Chilelli earned the victory in net.

On Sunday, the Spartans defeated Escanaba by scores of 15-0 in game one and 12-0 in game two.

The early game scoring is as follows: Caruso 2 goals/3 assists, Trent Sepkowski 2 goals/2 assists, Jollineau 1 goal/3 assists, Frankie Pucci 3 goals, Owen Headrick 2 goals/1 assist, Bryce Campbell 1 goal/2assists, Garson 2 goals/1 assist, Erik Paradis 1 goal/1 assist, Palmerio 1 goal and Carter Lobert with 1 assist. Mario Culina earned the shut out.

In the afternoon match the scoring summary is as follows: Garson 3 goals/2 assists, Sepkowski 3 goals/1 assist, Caruso 4 assists, Paradis 2 goals/1 assist, Palmerio 2 goals/1 assist, Pucci 1 goal, and Headrick 2 assists. Adding single assists were Mitchell Robinson, Marcus Sacchetta, Joshua Dose, and Dallas Jollineau. Michael Chilelli earned the shut out.
