It may have been a long time coming but victory was definitely sweet for The Athlete's Foot.

After five years of championship heartache, The Athlete's Foot put all the pieces together in the Premiere Soccer League playoffs to capture the title.

In a hard fought game by both sides, The Athlete's Foot edged U-Betcha by a score of 1-0 to capture the playoff championship.

Tristano Cicchello scored in the first half to give The Athlete's Foot a lead that would not be relinquished.

U-Betcha came on strong late in the second half with several good scoring chances but couldn't capitalize.

This is The Athlete's Foot's first championship crown in five consecutive final appearances in Premier Action.

Strong performances in the title game were put forth by Bill Tasz (Goalie, Athlete's Foot), Ollie Viotto (Athlete's Foot) and Chris Perry (U-Betcha).

The Athlete's Foot advanced to the finals after scoring a huge 3-0 victory over Croatia in the semi-final. U-Betcha edged Bavarian Inn 2-1 in the other semi-final.
