The Soo North Stars forward was taken in the seventh round by the Spirit at 131st overall at the OHL Priority Selection draft.

Colizza enjoyed a stellar season with the Great North Midget League champions and Regional gold medalists, becoming one of the team's most dependable players down the stretch run.

In the regular season, six-foot, 170 pounder was second on the team in scoring notching 28 goals and 26 assists for 54 points. In nine playoff games, Colizza added four goals and two assists.

At the Telus Cup regional playdowns, the Sault Ste. Marie product scored seven goals, including the gold medal winner in double overtime, and set up another for eight points in eight games.
