On Wednesday at the Jo Forman Track, the Eagles continued their strong tradition by winning their 24th consecutive aggregate team championship by nearly doubling the second place St. Mary's Knights in points.

In particular, the girls at SJD captured the team championship for the 26th consecutive season.

Next for the local athletes is the Northern Ontario Secondary Schools Association (NOSSA) championships next Thursday and Friday at Jo Forman Track.

Gold medalists from NOSSA will advance to the Ontario Federation of Schools Athletic Association (OFSAA) championships June 2-4 in Windsor.
