Algoma U women's basketball league returns

The Algoma University College Women's Basketball League is returning for another season. The league is scheduled to run from January 29 through April 15 at the George Leach Centre.

The league is scheduled to run from January 29 through April 15 at the George Leach Centre.

Registration fee is $600 per team with rosters limited to eight to 10 players. Deadline for registration is January 25.

Games, consisting of two 20-minute halves, will be played on Tuesday nights from 6:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. although an additional night may be necessary to ensure one game per team each week.

The season will consist of 10 regular season weeks with the top four teams qualifying for a two week playoff schedule.
