Algoma U women suffer first loss

NIAGARA COLLEGE DEFEATS BOTH ALGOMA U MEN'S & WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAMS

The Algoma U Men's basketball team were defeated by the Niagara College Knights Men's team with a score of 95 to 58. Top scorer's for Algoma U were Peter Chapman with 16, Zach Wright with 13 and Stefon Wilson with 11.

The Algoma U Thunderbird Women's Basketball team suffered their first regular season defeat with a loss of 73 to 58 to the Niagara College women's team. Top scorers for Algoma University College were Danielle D'Ettorre with a 28 points, Lara Stilin with 18 and Melissa Stumpo with 5.

Both the Algoma U Women's & Men's basketball team's are in action this Saturday at home against the Fanshawe College Falcons. The Fanshawe College men's team is ranked first in the Province and second in the nation. The women's game is at noon and the men's game is at 2 pm at the George Leach Centre.
