Algoma U Thunderbirds Split Games Versus St. Clair

The Algoma University College Thunderbird basketball teams played host to OCAA division rival St. Clair Saints at the George Leach Centre on Friday evening.

In the women’s game, the Thunderbirds were defeated by a score of 49-37. Top scorer for the Thunderbirds was Kristie Aloe with 13 points while Sarah Stevens scored 11 for the Saints.

The Thunderbird men's team emerged on top with an 85-51 victory over St. Clair. Robbie Green scored 26 points for the Thunderbirds while Sevan Shimoon responded with 18 for the Saints.

The Thunderbirds next action will be on Saturday, Jan. 26th vs. Niagara College.
