Algoma splits with St. Clair

Algoma U Win One & Lose One

The Algoma U Thunderbird Women's Basketball team are back on the winning track by defeating the St. Clair Saints.

The Thunderbirds beat the Saints with a score of 65 to 49. Top scorers for Algoma University College were Danielle D'Ettorre with a 24 points, Lara Stilin with 14 and Jessica King with 12. Top scorer for St. Clair College was Kati Hamilton with 13 points.

In the second game of the night the Algoma U Men's basketball team were defeated by the St. Clair Saints' Men's team. The score was St. Clair Saints 75 to Algoma U Thunderbirds 63.

Top scorer for Algoma was Ariel Baptiste with 18 points. Lloyd Coke and Andrew Turgeon each had 13 points. The top scorer for St. Clair was Leng Yeang with 24 points.

Next OCAA action for both the Algoma U Women's and Men's teams are next Friday, February 2nd on the road against the very same St. Clair College Saints.
