Algoma men silence the Lions

ALGOMA U DEFEATS LAMBTON COLLEGE

The Algoma U Men's basketball team defeated the Lambton College Lions in a close score of 67 to 65. Half time score was 35 to 34 in favour of Lambton.

As the Lions held the lead for entire first half, Algoma came out flying in the second half with an 11 to 0 run. However, Lambton battled back and kept it close right up to the end of the game. Algoma was able to hang on to the lead to secure the victory.

Top scorer's for Algoma U were Cory Glaister with 16 points and Adam Carpenter with 11. Patrick Murray and Jarrell Hogan had 10 points a piece. Chris Harrison, Sean Maheu and Cole Webster were top scorers for Lambton College with 14 points each.

The Algoma U Men's team is on the road this weekend as they play Finalndia University and Gogebic College in exhibition play. Both the Men's and Women's team return to regular season play on the weekend of November 17 & 18 when they play Redeemer University College and Niagara College. Both their next regular season home games are on November 25th when they face the Fanshawe College Falcons.
