Algoma knocks off the Red River Rebels

ALGOMA U MEN DEFEAT RED RIVER REBELS

Algoma University College Men's Basketball team defeated the Red River College Rebels from Manitoba with a score of 100 to 66.

The first half was close with Algoma University College only leading by a score of 41 to 36. Red River's top scorers in the first half were Paul Lodewyks with 10 points and Andrew Sharp with 8 points. Algoma U's top scorers in the first half were Patrick Murray with 9 points and Jarrell Hogan with 7 points.

In the second half, Algoma U took charge and poured in 55 points compared to Red River's 30 points. Top scorers in the second half for Red River College were Andrew Sharp with 14 points and Paul Lodewyks with 6 points. Algoma U's second half top scorers were Andrew Turgeon with 10 points and Cory Glaister with 9 points.

Top scorer for the Algoma University College was Andrew Turgeon with 15 points. Top scorer for Red River and the game was Andrew Sharp with 22 points.

Algoma University College's next games are on the road against Mohawk College and Fanshawe College on October 27th and 28th which open their regular season.
