Algoma U Defeats Sault College
The Algoma U men's basketball team finished their regular season on a winning note by defeating the Sault College Cougars in a close score of 72-66.
Half time score was 29-28 in favour of Sault College.
Both teams traded the lead back and forth in the second half. Algoma eventually was able hang onto the lead near the end of the game and secure the victory.
Top scorers for Algoma U were Zach Wright with 20 points, Patrick Murray with 18 and Andrew Turgeon with 11. Top scorers for Sault College were Rodney Rogers with 30 points and Mike Beharriel with 14.
The Algoma U men's team now has to wait to see how the rest of the league games finish out to determine whether or not they make the playoffs.
