Sports Gold and Root River emerged with victories on Sunday in Algoma Basketball Association girls spring league action at Bawating. Sports Gold used 18 points from Jessica King and 15 from Stella Viotto in a 56-48 win over Primo Pizza.

Sports Gold used 18 points from Jessica King and 15 from Stella Viotto in a 56-48 win over Primo Pizza.

Jaclyn Cummings replied with 14 points for Primo Pizza while Stephanie Davies added 12.

In the other contest, Roberta Reid poured in a game high 20 points to lead the Root River Raptors past Sal-Dan Developments 62-32.

Kathleen Thorburn added 13 points for the winners while Sara Levesque answered with 10 points for Sal-Dan.
