The Soo North Stars will have one last chance to leave the Telus Cup national midget hockey championships in Red Deer, Alberta with a win.

On Thursday, the North Stars fell 4-1 to the Atlantic's St. John's Maple Leafs and remain winless through four games.

Jerry Petingalo, the local's game star, scored the lone North Stars goal. Justin Hogsden started the game in net but was replaced by Thomas Gravelines to finish.

The North Stars conclude the round robin on Friday afternoon when they play the defending Telus Cup champion Prince Albert Raiders from the West region.
