Peace activist James Loney has been prohibited from speaking at a Catholic church in Whitehorse.
Church officials cited Loney's views on marriage, The Globe & Mail reports.
Loney, a native of Sault Ste. Marie, made international news in 2005 when he was kidnapped in Iraq as a member of Christian Peacemaker Teams.
Loney was the source of another controversy a year later when the Guelph Mercury reported that Loney told university students during a speech that he refuses to wear a poppy on Remembrance Day.
