NEWS RELEASE
Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 15 year-old female youth on the 29th February and charged her with one count of robbery and one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance.
It is alleged that on the 20th of February at approximately 5 pm the accused, and another female suspect, assaulted and robbed a female youth that was walking on Wellington Street East.
The victim received non-life threatening injuries and had her Blackberry phone stolen during the incident.
When the accused was arrested, she was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana.
The accused is to appear in court on the 3rd of April.
Charges are pending against the second female suspect.
