OLG announces Millionaire Life national lottery

TORONTO - You're hanging up the tuxedo and putting away the diamonds after a million dollar celebration …but the best is yet to come.

Tomorrow you can start planning to do it again next year and for years to come because you've just won Millionaire Life, the month-long national lottery with a top prize of $1 million a year for 25 years.

Millionaire Life is different from any other lottery game with its unique top prize, and that the winning eight-digit numbers will be drawn only from the selections issued.

The top prize winner will have a choice of 25 annual payments of $1 million each, or a one-time cash payment of $17 million for matching all eight digits of the main draw winning number in exact order.

In addition to the top prize, there will be 31 separate draws, each for a 2011 Chervrolt Equinox (cash value $40,000) for matching all eight digits of the winning number in exact order.

Subsidiary prizes include $1,000 for matching the first six digits of the main draw winning number in exact order, and $20 for matching the last two digits of the main draw winning number in exact order.

Buying early offers even more ways to win with 17 early bird prizes of a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro (cash value $40,000).

Only tickets purchased prior to 11:59 p.m. on March 17 will be eligible for early bird draws.

Each of the 17 early bird prizes will also be drawn separately and can be won by matching all eight digits of the winning number in exact order.

Ticket sales began March 1 and draws for all prizes, including the early bird prizes will be held after the close of sales on March 31, 2011.

Selections are available by quick pick only (no selection slips).

Each selection consists of an eight-digit number (a dash separating the first six and the last two digits).

Players have three selection options:  $5 for one selection, $10 for three selections and $20 for seven selections.

The odds of winning on Millionaire Life will be determined by the number of selections sold.

Encore is not available with Millionaire Life.

OLG is a provincial agency responsible for province-wide lottery games and gaming facilities.
