Academy Award-winning filmmaker Michael Moore took a hard crack last night at Northern Michigan Congressman Bart Stupak.

Stupak leads a group of dissenting Democrats who are trying to block passage of President Barack Obama's health care reform this weekend, indicating that the bill doesn't go far enough to stop federal funds being spent on abortion.

Moore, who lives in the Traverse City area, faults Stupak for ignoring a group representing most of America's 59,000 Catholic nuns, who want Obama's health care plan passed.

"If Stupak were truly pro-life then he'd vote for this bill," Moore says.

He goes so far as to lambaste Stupak's living arrangement in Washington, in a place he dubs "Hypocrites' Hideaway."
