************************* Early this morning, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 33-year-old female for impaired driving and driving over 80 milligrams.

It is alleged that at approximately 3:30 this morning the accused was operating her vehicle south on Gore Street. Officers observed this and stopped the vehicle for driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

Upon speaking to the driver, officers determined that her ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol.

Shannon Leroux, age 33, of Redcliff, Alberta is charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of driving over 80 milligrams

************************* Yesterday afternoon, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 42-year-old female on a warrant.

It is alleged that the accused breached conditions of a conditional release order.

Arrested was Tammy Moore, age 42, of 352 Cathcart Street.

Ms Moore is charged with breach of conditional sentence.

************************* Yesterday evening, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17-year-old male for theft under and possession of stolen property.

It is alleged that entered the LCBO Store in the Churchill Plaza and stole a quantity of alcohol.

Police were called and located the youth a short distance away.

The youth is charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of breach of probation.

************************* Yesterday afternoon, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 33-year-old male for assault.

It is alleged that in June 2010 the accused assaulted his common-law girlfriend by shoving her into a wall.

The victim suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

The male is charged with one count of assault.

************************* Yesterday, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 20-year-old female for breach of an undertaking.

It is alleged that the accused, who was bound by conditions of an undertaking to not communicate with a certain person, sent letters to that person.

At the time, the accused was being detained at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre.

Charged with one count of breach of an undertaking is Brittany Wiebe, age 20.
