The GP Car And Home World Cup of Curling kicks off with the opening draw Wednesday night at the Essar Centre at 7:30.

The local entry – consisting of skip Brad Jacobs, lead Scott Seabrook, second Ryan Harnden and third E.J. Harnden – is among the 10 teams that open their tournament tonight when they face Jeff Stoughton’s rink from Manitoba.

Other matches set for draw one tonight include:

- Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, Norway) vs. Randy Ferbey (Edmonton, Alberta) on Sheet ‘A’ - Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, Manitoba) vs. Rob Fowler (Brandon, Manitoba) on Sheet ‘C’ - Glenn Howard (Coldwater, Ontario) vs. Jim Cotter (Vernon, British Columbia) on Sheet ‘D’ - Kevin Koe (Edmonton, Alberta) vs. Brad Gushue (St. John’s, Newfoundland/Labrador) on Sheet ‘E’

The round robin continues with four draws each on Thursday and Friday, beginning at 9 a.m. each day.

Saturday morning will see a tie-breaker draw, if necessary, at 8:30 a.m., with the quarter-final set for noon and the semi-final at 7 p.m.

The championship will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
