Rain is forecast for three to five days this coming workweek, but most days will be above seasonal values for the start of May

The start of May looks to carry on the wet, warm weather we've experienced for the last month. Rain is forecast for three to five days this coming workweek, but most days will be above seasonal values for the start of May.

In April, the average temperature was just over a degree warmer than normal. Extra rainfall helped offset some early dry spring conditions, as by the end of Monday, we will measure almost twice the rainfall we normally get in April.

Rain continues for most of today as daytime highs fall to 8°C. The heaviest rain will fall this afternoon. Gusty east winds will peak later in the morning and slowly weaken for the rest of the day.

Clouds will gradually clear out on Tuesday, increasing temperatures to 12°C. We could see some showers Wednesday morning, but sunshine should break through the clouds in the afternoon, helping daytime highs reach 14°C.

Sunshine returns on Thursday, and rain returns on Friday to end this workweek. Afternoon temperatures on both days should climb to near 16°C.
